Heyyyyyy I’m Charnae', feel free to call me Char. I'm the Founder and Creative Designer of Recognize A Woman, LLC. DBA - RAW Handbags.

After earning a Bachelors in Accounting, an MBA, working for a Big 4 Accounting firm, while also being from a small town in Maryland living in NYC, it may seem as though I have always been living out my dreams. I'm here to tell you NO I WAS NOT! 

I did not start living out MY dreams until I started RAW Handbags. Society tells you, you have to do certain things in order to feel "accomplished" or be secure in life. I'm here to tell you YOU DON'T!!! Forget what "society" says. NEVER stop dreaming, NEVER fall short of your dreams for someone else's or society. Always have a plan A, B & C but it is never too late! If I could do it all over again I would choose my happiness, my passion, my dreams over being financially secure and adhering to societal norms! I have always wanted to be a designer since I was a little girl and although I took a different path in college I never lost sight of my passion and dream.

Jumping out on faith to create RAW, has led me to start more business ventures. I'm expanding my real estate journey, lecturing college students, bookkeeping, etc.

I have been tested with this entrepreneurship stuff, feels like daily but it is all worth. Overcoming hurdle, barrier and obstacle outweighs working for someone else.
